Michael will be headlining HotVox's 'Live at 26 Leake Street'
Thursday 3rd March - Set Time 9:15-10pm
As a musician Michael has played the Roundhouse with 'Roundhouse Music Collective', Oval Space with his previous project 'KALA', Union Chapel with 'Some Voices Choir' and won multiple awards as a film and theatre composer.
Michael trained as a musician at Trinity Laban and then as a theatre-maker on the renowned 'Acting and Contemporary Theatre' course at East 15 Acting School.
The result of this varied training is a unique and unpredictable new live show that moves from alternative folk ballads to live-looped guitar textures, jazz violin solos and comedic spoken-word poetry.
The show fuses influences from Kae Tempest, Bo Burnham, Leonard Cohen and Damien Rice.

During the UK lockdowns Michael created a series of original live-looping covers which have racked up thousands of views on Youtube
Crean first started releasing music with the alternative electro-soul project 'KALA'. Their 2017 debut EP was part of Radio1Xtra's Top 5 EPs of the week and featured Emer Dineen on vocals, Josh Finerty on Drums and Daniel Peacock on Guitar.
Michael spent the last few years developing a unique 7-track concept E.P 'Songs to the Sea'. Releasing the first two singles has seen him build up a following with almost 1000 monthly listeners on Spotify alone. The full E.P is set to release in May
