Michael Crean - Teacher

Hi there!

I am a music tutor with over 5 years of teaching experience based in St Margarets, Twickenham. I have taught a wide range of ages, with age 4 being my youngest pupil and 30 currently my oldest. 

​

With all pupils I try do develop and encourage a huge love of music. From this I will use various styles to fit in with the pupils wants and needs. 

​

This might mean learning how to improvise and play jazz in one lesson and learning an ABRSM grade piece in another. If kids are interested in listening to pop music I might also get them learning how to play that, along with pushing them in more challenging styles at the same time. 

​

I hope to offer a well rounded and joyful music education on both violin, piano and music theory. 

​

I trained in Composition and Jazz Piano at Trinity College of Music, and have an ABRSM Diploma in Violin performance. As well as teaching I work as a session musician, film composer, music producer and artist. 

​

I currently have several free slots on weekday evenings for after school classes and can travel to you and I will hopefully be able to host lessons from around January. I can also do lessons over Zoom. It may also be worth mentioning that although safety precautions still must be undertaken , I did have corona virus in March 2019, so am less likely to spread or transmit the virus.

Rate: £25 per half hour lesson, £40 per hour lesson
